This was a fun wedding to work on. Alison and her mom had booked me for the flowers nine months ahead but a little over a month before the big day they came to me overwhelmed. They didn’t have a wedding coordinator and were doing it all on their own and running out of time as well as steam. I didn’t have a lot going on at the time so I was excited to take on the challenge of designing the donut table, seating chart, guest book, ring bearer pillows, table numbers and programs.
Little Mermaid’s Eric and Ariel as the cake toppers. How perfect is that!?!
Alison’s favorite colors she wanted to design her wedding around were lavender and sage. She said what every designer dreams of, “I trust you, be creative, I know it will be beautiful.”
The wedding was the last weekend in September so I incorporated some maroon shades to add a hint of autumn. The venue was at Grey Gables Estate in Milwaukee, OR-a gorgeous garden setting with a koi pond, manor house and ballroom. To keep that garden theme I used lots of textures and garden flowers including dahlias, stock, chocolate queen Ann’s lace, lisianthus, kale, succulents, olive and my personal favorite-Japanese anemone.
Many blessings on this happily married, beautiful couple!
